Eleanor M. “Beth” Zatta, 85, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born November 16, 1926 in Roanoke, Virginia a daughter of the late George and Ruth Martin. Beth is also preceded in death by her sister Joanne Everingham. She was a member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church in Wintersville, Ohio. As a government civilian worker Beth retired from the Department of the Army as the Director of Personnel and Community Activities for Fort Pickett in Blackstone, Virginia. She was recognized for her achievement in Service Excellence while serving at Fort Pickett. Beth enjoyed a rewarding career assisting military personnel and their families at Fort Sill, Fort Hood, and Fort Pickett, Prior to her government employment Beth was the Director of the YWCA and Childsworld Daycare in Roanoke, VA. After retirement she moved from Kenbridge, VA. to Wintersville, Ohio to be with her family. Surviving are her sons, Anthony F. Zatta Jr., with whom she resided and Jay (Shelley) Zatta both of Wintersville, Ohio. Also, surviving are her neices, Deborah Bowles, Dawn Motsinger, and Robin Cater. Friends may call at Dunlope - Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road Wintersville, Ohio on Wednesday from 5 – 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Thursday 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Marc Roberson & Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.
