Edwin E. "Ed" Snyder 80 of Chester, WV formerly of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, December 8, 2002 at Weirton Geriatric Center. He was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on October 19, 1922 a son of the late Earl Harden and Effie E. Sheline Snyder. Ed retired as a welder in the strip steel from Weirton Steel Co. He was a member, past Elder and Deacon at First Westminster Presbyterian Church, Steubenville; a member of Masonic Lodge 45 F & AM; Steubenville Shrine Club; Aladdin Temple in Columbus, Ohio and Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. Ed had served as Steubenville High School Booster Club president. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline King Snyder. Surviving are two sons Larry (Christina) Snyder of Chester, WV and Herb Snyder of Long Beach, CA; one daughter Roberta (Mike) Sherry of Phoenix, AZ; one granddaughter Jessica Snyder, a student at Mount Union College; one sister Thelma J onard of CA; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev.
