Edwin Aaron Daugherty ‘Ed’ 54 of Steubenville, OH died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at the Trinity West Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born in Washington, PA on Nov. 14, 1947 the son of the late Wilbert & Emelie Fithyan Daugherty. Ed was employed at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a Stationary Engineer at Steubenville No.1 Boilerhouse. He was Catholic by faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War, a member of Smithfield Masonic Lodge #182, and United Steelworker’s local 1190 were he was the former Assistant to the Insurance Chairman and Grievance Representative. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother David Daugherty. Ed is survived by his wife Sandra Mallas Daugherty; stepson Scott Smith of Steubenville; Stepdaughters Donnita Smith , Heather Hoover both of Steubenville, and Bobbi Lin Renforth and her husband Roland of Mingo Junction; Sisters Peggy Townsend and her husband Larry of Steubenville, and Daphne Jenkins of Cambridge, OH. Brother Kevin Daugherty and his wife Rocita of Richmond; Seven Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Wednesday from 7-9P.M. and on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9P.M. where services will be held Friday at 11:00A.M.with PM Albert Phillips of Smithfield Masonic Lodge #182 officiating. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Steubenville. Masonic services to be held Thursday at 7:30p.m.
