He taught me how to dive when we were kids when no one else could...sounds like a weird memory but it has stuck with me and I have even told my kids the story as I taught them to dive.   I was there at the beginning of Eddie's illness and at the end of it. We had a lot of great times on the course and at ball games. Eddie now has the best seat in the house. My belief is that he is in a much better place and I will see you again some day my friend. Chas, Conner, Emily, and Abby, I will be there for you guys for the rest of my life, do not ever hesitate to call upon me for any reason. Eddie may be no longer with us, but his memory will never die as long as I am here. Rest well my friend, I miss now and always.

  My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Ed's family and friends. When I heard of his passing,all the memories of growing up together came rushing back at me. From our 6th grade rock band "HIGH ROLLER", to endless summer days at the Mingo pool,Ed was a great friend and an even greater teammate. I remember being his catcher in little league and being on the receiving end of many of his no-look passes in basketball. Whenever I think of Ed, it will bring a smile to my face because he truly was one of kind, and he will be sorely missed. It was my honor to know him and call him my friend.
