Edward L. McClain, 82, of Wintersville, Ohio died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Valley Hospice North, Steubenville. He was born in Miletus, West Virginia on March 29, 1935 the son of the late Eugene Dallas and Ruby Nicholson McClain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers Charles “Pete”, Robert “Peck”, Ronald and Kenneth McClain and three sisters Sue Viltro, Ruth Ellen Vecchione and Jean (brother-in-law Lester) Burge and sister-in-law Patricia McClain. Edward retired from Weirton Steel Co. where he worked in the Railroad Dept. and was an avid Vikings fan, and enjoyed playing euchre and family cookouts. He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Monigold McClain, daughters Cheryl (Tom) Buchanan, Patty (Tom) Brooks and Donna (Kevin) Wilson, brother Rick (Linda) McClain, sister Virginia Trikones, sisters-in-law Annabelle, Shirley and Judy McClain, step-children Tina Ely and Scott (Michelle) Ely and will be missed by many grand children and great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Ellis officiating. Burial will be private.

So sorry. Eddie was a great guy, dad and good brother to my Mother. Hope you are well. If there is anything I can do or if you just want to talk I am only a phone call away. He will be missed and loved by all those that surround you with love. It is a hard journey to loose someone so special and in many ways it can open your eyes and change your journeys.
