Edward Granatir, 78, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Carriage Inn. He was born January 11, 1933 in Mingo Junction, Ohio a son of the late Paul E. & Suzanne Smeriga Granatir, Sr. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Ed was a farmer and loved all animals, especially horses. He was an avid country music fan of Roy Rogers. Preceding Ed in death were his brothers Michael, Paul, George & John Granatir and sisters Mary & Alice Granatir. Ed is survived by his brothers Andrew (Donna) Granatir of Steubenville and Daniel (Alice) Granatir of Bloomingdale; sister Mary (Glen) Donahue of Richmond; sister-in-law Sylvia June Granatir of Wintersville; several nephews & nieces; several great nieces & nephews and many friends. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
