Edward D. Brondos 75 of Columbus, Ohio died Tuesday morning, May 4, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on November 9, 1928 a son of the late Paul and Mary Rebar Brondos. He was a retired purchasing agent for Reco Electric, Columbus, Ohio and was the manager of the Sears customer service department at the Fort Steuben Mall for fourteen years. Edward was a graduate of Steubenville High School, attended Ohio State University and received his B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Steubenville. He was a Lutheran by faith and a member of Steubenville Masonic Lodge 45 F& AM. Edward served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a training sargeant with the Sixth Armored Division where he trained engineers at Fort Leonard Wood. Preceding him in death were his brother Paul Brondos and sister Eleanor Reitter. Edward is survived by his wife Merry Lynn Montonye Brondos; brother Dan (wife Martha Jane) Brondos of Bloomingdale, Ohio; sisters Mary Tessler of Steubenville, Pauline Brondos of Willoughby Hills, Ohio and Doris (husband Milan) Vercimak of Sacramento, California; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bob Meyer officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Masonic services 11:30 a.m. Friday.
