Edith R. “Grandma” Kennedy, 88, of Wintersville passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Siena Skilled Care. She was born in West Virginia on December 25, 1928 a daughter of the late Sheldon and Anna Robinson Virtue. Edith was Catholic by faith and retired from the former Diekmanns Greenhouse. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Maurice G. “Bud” Kennedy; son Thomas Kennedy; daughter Joanna “Vickie” Cutri; brothers and sisters. Edith is survived by her sons Richard (Peggy Ann) Kennedy of Lafayette, LA, Mark (Patsy Lipinski) Kennedy of Toronto, OH, Matthew (Lisa) Kennedy of Wintersville and John F. Kennedy of Steubenville, daughters Kathy Kennedy and Terri Roberts; special friend Richard D’Aurora of Steubenville; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 4-7p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10a.m. with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
