Edith E. Arkley, 47, of Steubenville, Ohio died Monday, May 9, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Warren, Ohio on October 5, 1957, a daughter of the late Earl Hubert Alexander and the late Rosemary McLaughlin Reese. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Richmond, Ohio; past president of Steubenville High School Band Parents and a Girl Scout leader. Edith was a tax preparer for H&R Block and also employed by the Steubenville Board of Education. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather Albert “Jim” Jung, Jr. on November 25, 2002. Edith is survived by her children Robert C. Arkley of Toronto, Ohio and Nicole M. Arkley of Steubenville. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Brent Holladay officiating. Burial at Independence (PA) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimers Association.
