Earl H. Van Fossan 83 of Wintersville, OH died Monday, January 20, 2003 at Trinity Medical Center. West, Steubenville. He was born on June 6, 1919 in East Liverpool, OH the son of the late William and Kathryn Pickle Van Fossan. Preceded in death by a brother William Van Fossan. Retired salesman from Voto Manufacturers Sales Co. of Steubenville. He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Wintersville. Served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Member of American Legion Argonne Post #33 of Steubenville. Member and Past Exalted Ruler of Steubenville Elks Lodge #231. Earl is survived by his wife Martha “Marty” Kliner Van Fossan whom he married on January 20, 1947, two sons Jeffrey (Dorothy) Van Fossan of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Daniel (Jeanne Ann) Van Fossan of Toronto, OH and a daughter, Suzanne (Terry) Baney of Waterbury, CT a sister, June Silliman of East Liverpool, OH and seven grandchildren and two great grandsons. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Winterville, OH on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy without mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wintersville. Msgr. Gerald Calovini to officiate. Burial Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. American Legion Argonne Post #33 to conduct services at the cemetery.
