Obituary For Earl Arnold "Arnie" Dennis

Earl Arnold “Arnie” Dennis, 71, of Steubenville, OH died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Trinity West.  He was born in Steubenville, OH on November 5, 1942 a son of the late Earl E. and Clara Mae Parrish Dennis.  Arnie was a retired loan officer working in installment lending and collections, he started working for the former Heritage Bank in Steubenville and had also worked with First Steubenville Savings and Loan and World Savings Association of Ohio (Ohio Valley Savings).  He was a member of Starkdale United Presbyterian Church and was a former member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters as well as Steubenville Elks Lodge.  He was an avid reader.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two Bichon Frise “Lexi” and “Lacee”.  Arnie is survived by his wife Patricia “Patty” Perry Dennis; sons Jeffrey A. (Jennifer) Dennis of Las Vegas, NV and Scott A. (Laurie) Dennis of Steubenville; brother Darrell (Loyd) Dennis of Moore, SC; granddaughters Abigail and Emily Dennis.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8p.m.  Friends may also call on Friday from 10a.m. until time of services 11a.m. at Starkdale Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church, Teramana Cancer Center or Charity Hospice.
