Dwight E. “Whitey” Bauman, 82, of Wintersville, Ohio died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Trinity West. He was born January 10, 1927 in Steubenville a son of the late Floyd T. & Lillian M. Bell Bauman. Whitey was a retired mechanical foreman from Weirton Steel Co. and a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of Bell Chapel U.M. Church, American Legion Argonne Post 33, Pilgrim Lodge 691 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Steubenville Shrine Club, Aladdin Temple and Royal Order of Jesters. Preceding Whitey in death was his brother Floyd W. Bauman.Surviving are his wife Margarite “Peggy” Williams Bauman; daughters Sue (Lee) Guskea of Wintersville and Patricia (David) Dempsey of Marblehead, OH; 4 grandchildren Michael (Sophia) Guskea, Joe (Lainey) Guskea, David (Joy) Dempsey & Lorraine Dempsey; 3 great grandchildren Keller & Riley Guskea and Jacob Dempsey.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Monday 5 - 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until time of services at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.Masonic services 6:30 p.m. MondayMemorials may be directed to Shriners Childrens Hospital.
