Dorothy May Dopudja, 77, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2022. Dorothy was born July 25, 1945 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late George & Margaret Bennington Jackson. Her love of music led her to sing in a band, with her family and friends and in churches for many years. She especially enjoyed listening to her favorite band, Pink Floyd. Dorothy loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren both human and furry alike, her adopted family of local bus riders and especially the Christmas season which was her favorite.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her late husband Michael Dopudja; daughter Darla Scott Campbell; granddaughter Amber Board; four brothers Bud, Bill, Butch & Jim Jackson; four sisters Maggie Virtue, Sharon LeMasters, Jane Vanvoltenburg & Shirley Westfall.
Dorothy is survived by her son Terry (Christina) Rouse; two brothers Wayne Jackson & Jack (Linda) Jackson; two sisters Judy (Randy) Krantz & Carol (Doc) Roe; two grandsons Michael (Melissa) McGuire & Patrick Rouse and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Dorothy will be held at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio 43953 on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 6:30 with Rev. Jack Jackson officiating.

I became acquainted with Dotty, through my daughter Cris and her son Terry. We have had a lot of family gatherings together in the last several years.She was a free spirit. Family dinners holidays and picnics will not be the same. Hugs to Terry and Cris at this time.
