Dorothy L. Windon 71 of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Trinity West. She was born in Piney Fork, Ohio on June 16, 1932 a daughter of the late John and Gertrude Schrickel Barker. Dorothy was Methodist by faith and a member of Dip & Dive Square Dance Club. She was preceded in death by one son Ricky Lee Windon on January 1, 2001; two brothers John Barker and Ronald W. Barker, Sr.; and one sister Betty Shambaugh. Dorothy is survived by her husband John L. Windon, Sr. whom she married on August 4, 1951; children Gary (Pat) Windon of Mingo Junction, Terri Windon of Westerville, Ohio, John L. (Lisa) Windon, Jr. of Wintersville, Lori (Kurt) Kale of Jewett, Ohio and Michael (Kathy) Windon of Fayetteville, GA; daughter-in-law Jean (late Ricky Lee) Windon of Mingo; brother Chuck (Jean) Barker of Steubenville; sister Donna (Blaine) Rennie of Richmond, Ohio; twelve grandchildren Erin Windon Walline, Brianna Windon, Robyn Vittek, Kelly Walker, Steven Windon, Penny Jo Long, Jason Windon, Brett Windon, Kailee Jo Windon, Kassandra Kale, Vance Windon and Leanne Windon; and one great grandson Austin Long. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Preston Van Deursen officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
