Dorothy Jean (Dotti) Jewett, 84 of Steubenville OH passed away peacefully on Friday June 18th. She was born on March 2, 1937, daughter of Pete and Mabel Vein. She is preceded in death by her longtime companion Clifford Lee Stull and father to her two children Richard William Jewett, as well as her sisters Josephine Hare, Anne Wukelic, and her brothers Milan “Mitch” Vein, Sam Vein, Eli Vein, George Vein, and Pete Vein Jr. Surviving her are two children, Laurie Toth (Rusty) of Valparaiso, IN, Jeff Jewett of Kennesaw, GA (Mary Miklinevich, FL), her brother Joe Vein of Steubenville, OH and sister Martha Vein of Wintersville OH. She has three grandchildren, Lindsay Heist (Adam) of New Palestine, IN, Ryan Toth (Sadie Nagle) of Denver, CO, and Sean Toth of Hobart, IN, and four great grandchildren, Owen, Cooper, Harper Anne, and most recently Nora. She was affectionately known as GaGa to not only her grandchildren, but many more that she loved as her own. She holds a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews that cherish and love her. Mom was known for her great sense of humor, love of family and friends, that once they welcomed into her home were no longer just a stranger or acquaintance, they were now family. Being the youngest of ten, she made it known that she has a voice, it was heard, and it will never be forgotten. She loved her foot rubs paying a tidy sum of a penny a minute and had a passion for baking, as many in the family that have been married during her lifetime can attest to. She had a love of music which she not only shared but influenced those around her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and companion that would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Her spirit and memories will be cherished for years to come. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 10a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. with Very Rev. Rajko Kosic officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.

Jeff, you made me cry again. Love this tribute. To help my mom, she lived with us the first year of my life, and she believed that made me partially hers. And today I realize ... she was right. Love ya forever, T.D.

Neil, I don't know where it is, but somewhere in my bazillions of family photos, I have a picture of you and Carol in my Baba's kitchen. Marti Wukelic (Dot's niece)

I spent a lot of time in the kitchen in the farm house every time Carol came to visit we'd stop in. I continued to visit Dot and the kids as an adult until I moved out of state.
