Cathy and I have known Dorothy for two and a half years. My mother is in the next room at Gables. We both grew very fond of Dorothy. We would stop by and chat with her. I can see her no scooting down the halls, eating I her room, and often asleep in her chair. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family and Dorothy.Richard and Cathy

Everyone has grandparents that we love dearly which we are blessed to have in our lives. However, there are some who are blessed with a special person who is considered an honorary grandparent. Dorothy was that for me. I am heartbroken but blessed at the same time to have her in my life. Dorothy know that I love you and will miss you greatly. My deepest sympathy to David, Dottie, David, Des, Jay, David, Paige and the Boilegh family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Nette

Sorry to hear of the passing of Dorothy, but brings back the great memories I had with her. I truly will neverforget our summers working at Dairy Queen in wintersville where we became closer. She could always bring a smile to my face. I know she wasn't my grandmother but it felt like she was.

Dorothy always made you feel beautiful with the special costumes she made for us for baton twirling competitions. She was so talented, and patient! with a squirmy little girl with a pixie haircut. A fond memory I have had of her for almost 40 years. So sorry for your loss Dottie and family, and hoping you find comfort in celebrating her life together.
