Dorothy J. “Jean” Harvey, 80, of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, August 21, 2006 at Palliative Care. She was born May 21, 1926 in Poland, Ohio a daughter of the late Walter M. and Dove C. Tanner Lawler. Dorothy was a member, deacon and elder of First Westminster Presbyterian Church; Helen Martin Missionary Society member; Sunday Schoolteacher and member of Sweet Adelines. She was 1944 graduate and majorette at Steubenville High School. Preceding Dorothy in death were her husband Emmett L. Harvey, whom she married February 5, 1949 and he died November 13, 1999; two sisters Gloria Schwartz and Dawn Fleming. Survivng are two daughters Barbara (Gil) Thermes and Bonnie DiDomenico both of Wintersville; son Robert “Bob” (Corrine) Harvey of Canton; five grandchildren Lesa (Mike) Costlow of Toronto, Leslie Thermes of Leavittsburg, OH, Aymee DiDomenico of Virginia Beach, Amanda (Mike) Baker of Zanesville & Daniel (Cory) Harvey of Boyton Beach, FL; and six great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert J. Shearer officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Memorials may be directed to Valley Hospice, Inc.
