Dorothy E. Hindman, 87, of Charlotte, NC; formerly of Steubenville, OH died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. She was born in Steubenville on January 18, 1922 a daughter of the late William J. & Anna F. Griffith Yost. Dorothy was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine; Womans Club of Steubenville Garden Dept.; Red Cross and Jefferson County Board of Elections. She was a retired office assistant and clerk for the late Judge Brenner Levinson. Preceding Dorothy in death were her husband William J. Hindman on October 31, 1980; brother Marshall J. Yost; sister Helen Bishop and companion Charles Ball.Dorothy is survived by her children William J. (Mary Ann) Hindman, Marthann Lebar and Paula Hindman; seven grandchildren Carole (Greg) Coady, Jill (Bryan) Wilson, William J. (Marybeth) Hindman, Dan Lebar, Paul (Dr. Leila Hall) Lebar, Megan Lyons & Jessica Lyons; nine great grandchildren Megan, Jack & Max Coady, Brandon & Olivia Wilson, Billy, Rachel & Christopher Hindman, and Grant Lebar.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Saturday from 10a.m. until time of services at noon with Rev.
