Dorothy A. Castner, 87, of Steubenville, OH died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Trinity West. She was born in Steubenville, OH on December 16, 1925 the daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Shalonis Nevlis. Dorothy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and had retired from the former Hub Department Store. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. Castner;brothers Robert and Edward Nevlis.  Dorothy is survived by her son Charles Conner of Tampa, FL; sister Helen (Frank) Galownia of California; brother-in-laws Donald (Carol) Castner of Wintersville, Kenneth (Fronia) Castner of Uniontown, OH and Herman (Bunny) Castner of Steubenville; sister-in-law Catherine (Dean) Allan of Weirton, WV; very special ex daughter-in-law Judy Conner of Tampa, FL; 8 grandchildren.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH Friday from 4-6p.m. where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10a.m. with Pastor Michael L. Heckathorn officiating.  Entombment at Fort Steuben.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
