Doris A. Wickham, 88, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Valley Hospice. She was born on August 29, 1936 in Steubenville, the daughter of the late George A. and Jessie T. Morton Meskus. Doris was a lifelong member of Starkdale Presbyterian Church and a 1954 Graduate of SHS.
Doris is survived by her husband Clarence F. “Bud” Wickham, daughter Linda Kocher, son Scott (Amy) Wickham, three grandchildren Dustin (Kira) Kocher, Greg (Jenna) Wickham and Jessie Meredith and two great grandchildren Abby Kocher and Oliver Kocher.
Doris loved her family, friends and church; where she was a Deacon for many years. Holiday get-togethers, family game nights and traveling on bus trips with her Mom and friends across the country were among her favorite things to do.
She was an avid baseball fan who rarely missed watching or listening to the Pirates play and going to her grandkids’ games. Doris enjoyed her early morning water aerobics with her swimming group and a day never went by that she didn’t complete a crossword puzzle. Many winter days were spent working jigsaw puzzles.
Doris wed her beloved husband, Bud, on September 17, 1955 and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. She was very special to many and will be sadly missed.
Friends may call at Starkdale Presbyterian Church Sunset Blvd. on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. G. Carl Moore officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
