Donna L. Gundrum, 85, of Wintersville, OH passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV. Heaven welcomed one more angel.
She was born on July 20, 1930 in Steubenville, OH. A daughter of the late Dean W. Lowry and Ester T. (Tempest) Lowry, she is also preceded in death by a brother Dean Lowry and two grandchildren, Paul Gundrum III and Stacy Gundrum.
She retired from Ohio Valley Hospital after 34 years of service as a Nurse’s Aide. She had many exciting travels, but her favorite place to be was home.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Paul Gundrum I; four children, Paul (Linda) Gundrum II, Denise (James) Heilman, Donald (Nancy) Gundrum and Stephen (Linda) Gundrum I; seven grandchildren, Tod (Beth) Gundrum, Jon (Holly) Heilman, Christopher Heilman, Justin Heilman, Erin Heilman, Jason (Rosa) Gundrum, Dawnel (Ronald) Dayton, Stephen (Christina) Gundrum II, Tiffany (Mark) Lockhart; seventeen great-grandchildren, Tessa Gundrum, Blane Gundrum, Nicholas Heilman, Nicole Heilman, Hayden Heilman, Harrison Heilman, Heath Heilman, Austin Heilman, Alexander Heilman, Tyler Gundrum, Alyssa Gundrum, Halie Dayton, Anna Dayton, Eli Dayton, Keirsten Gundrum, Eli Lockhart, and Ian Lockhart. All because two people fell in love. Also surviving is her sister, Patricia Lowry Jones.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 11-12:30 at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH. Funeral services will be directly following. Interment will follow at Fort Steuben in Wintersville, OH.
