Donato “Danny” Carducci, 79, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Valley Hospice. He was born November 30, 1932 in Pratola Peligna, Italy a son of the late Gaetano & Emilia Rosati Carducci. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a motor inspector in the 80 inch mill. Danny was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church (Holy Rosary), Knights of St. Anthony and Jeffersonian Lodge.Surviving are his wife Nancy J. Alberts Carducci whom he married on June 18, 1955; son Danny G. (Roberta) Carducci of Columbus, OH; daughters Terri (Dave) Yasho & Nannette (Andy) Neary both of Steubenville; eight grandchildren Caroline (Chad) Heitmeyer, Christen (Brian) Taghon, Caitlin & Corinne Carducci; Bryan & Jennifer Yasho; and Luke & Mia Neary; great grandchildren Holden Heitmeyer & Benjamin Taghon; siblings Lina Carducci of Steubenville, Rita Zavarella, Aldino (Anna) Carducci, Antonio (Nazarena) Carducci and Elsa (Francesco) Sforza all of Connecticut.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Church with Msgr. William Cornelius officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Friday.Memorials may be directed to Teramana Cancer Center, Valley Hospice, Inc., and Alapecia Foundation in Danny’s memory.
