Donald G. Rogers, 73, passed away unexpectantly Thursday, September 10, 2009. He was born on July 4, 1936 in Steubenville, Ohio to Maurice and Ila (Richmond) Rogers. Donald was a United States Navy veteran. Most recently, Donald enjoyed his work as an employee for Resurrection Cemetery in Pittsburgh. Preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. He is survived by a loving wife of 42 years, Virginia C. (Reed) Rogers, three daughters, Virginia D. Rogers, Harrisburg, PA, Theresa (Rogers) McMahon and Deborah (Rogers) Hanson, Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Dawn (Rogers) Leed, Alexander, Abigail and Jacob McMahon, Sarah Hanson and great granddaughter Mia Leed. He will be sadly missed by his lifelong, beloved friends Ernest and Shirley Carson and his extended family and friends. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Sunday from 6-8p.m., where funeral services will also be held on Monday, 1p.m. with Rev. Jack Klinesmith officiating. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, OH. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside services.

Uncle Don Was and will always be remembered as a great man, father,uncle,husband, and most of all to us friend. We are so sorry we can not be there for you all. If you need someone to talk to especially you aunt Genny dont hesitate we love you all and miss you. You are always in our prayers.
