Dolores M. Pool, 81, of Wintersville, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at her residence of natural causes. She was born in Mingo Junction on October 3, 1937 the daughter of the late Clyde and Pearl Trayon Huggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Willey and a sister Laura Maine. Dolores was a homemaker and a charter member of Wintersville Church of Christ and a graduate of Wintersville High School class of 1955 and previously worked at Thompson Country Florist. She is survived by her husband Jack Pool Sr. at home and their children Jack (Diane) Pool Jr. and Barbara Zimnox; five grandchildren Devon (Sara) Zimnox, Nikki Petrella, Alyssa (Ryan) Abraham, Alexa (Nick) Martinek and Alec Pool; great granddaughter Aliya Petrella; and a brother Lawrence Huggins. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. On Friday, friends may call from 10 until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Wintersville Church of Christ, 316 Two Ridge Road, Wintersville. Chuck Brettell officiating. Entombment will follow at Fort Steuben. Memorial contributions may be directed to Wintersville Church of Christ. The family would like to thank Valley Hospice for the exceptional care given to her during her illness.
