Obituary For Dolores M. Fairhurst

Dolores M. Delatore Fairhurst, 85, of Steubenville, Ohio died November 9, 2019 at UPMC Mercy. She was born May 1, 1934 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Joseph & Lucy Delatore. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. Preceding Dolores in death were her husbands Walter Machesney, Homer Burkey & Harold Fairhurst; and brother Joe Delatore.

Dolores is survived by her sons John Machesney, Keith (Keele Ross) Burkey, Jeffrey (Kaye Michetti) Burkey and Greg (Norma Woods) Burkey; granddaughters Amiti Burkey, Averie Bischak & Takita Schoonover; sister Christine (Dominic) Teramana; sister-in-law Susan Delatore; and several beloved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Private services and burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Sincerest Sympathy to the family of Dolores Delatore. Delores and I graduated from CCHS in 1953. I remember Dolores as a warm and caring person. I have memories of she and I going to Naples Spaghetti House in Steubenville many years ago. She was fun and I remember her wonderful laugh.
