Wonderful lady. A joy to know and be around. She had no filters but that also made her special. Will miss her but glad she is at peace and with John again. Our sympathy to Dede's family. ❤️🙏

Back between 1968 through 1975 there was a special group of Big Red Band members who hung together and made high school a fun and memorable experience---even with Joe Greco whipping up into a top-notch marching and concert band!!! But, the group of band parents from that group of students made it even more wonderful and fun. DeDe was a part of that group!!! She is now with such late, great SHS band parents as Joe and Betty Nocera, George and Mary Herron, Bunny VerStraten, AnneMarie Kessel, and many others as well as those still with us. At the age of 65, I can look back on those days in Steubenville and at Big Red with a great deal of fondness. Thanks DeDe....thanks for the memories and love! When we pass, just remember, the love goes with us.Dan Herron

Aunt De. God broke the mold when he created you. There will never be another! I will certainly miss your humor, tenacity, and even your stubbornness. I'll always remember the fun times I spent at your house in the summers and going to day camp with Lin, visiting you at the grocery store, laughing about "lollies" and "my momma do" ... and cracking up when Uncle John brought home various things for us to marvel at from the golf course. So many fond memories. I love you and will miss you. Debbie Ann

Dee, you were my sister-in-law but also my friend, confidante, and a shoulder to lean on. You welcomed me into the family with open arms as soon as you told me how to take care of Brother Bill. After that we over that we got along great. I miss going to your house and seeing you and your siblings show so much love you had for each other. I will miss you so much. When I looked at you I saw Bill. I hope you have finally found peace from arthritis that plagued you most of your life. Give Bill a kiss from me. I hope you are having a nice time with the whole family back together. You will always be missed but you left a wonderful legacy to your children and grandchildren. You did a great job. Now it is time for you to relax. You will always be in my heart. You were more of a sister to me than a sister-in-law. Be at peace knowing you did a wonderful job down here for your family to go on. I will always love you and miss you. I know this was one of you and Bill's favorite photo. You were so close as youngsters and it continued throughout your life.
