Dolores B. “Betty” Thompson, 88 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Trinity West. She was born March 20, 1931 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Julius & Helen Takacs Kukor. She was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church and graduated from Catholic Central in 1949. Betty was an avid golfer and member of Cadiz Country Club and Cadiz Woman’s Civic Club, loved to entertain and cook, and traveled extensively in Europe with her late husband. She lived over forty years in California and worked in retail, then returned home to live in Cadiz and Steubenville. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Thompson, who died June 13, 2006; siblings Julius Kukor and Helen Straker.Betty is survived by her son Bradford G. Thompson of London, UK; granddaughter Claire Campbell and sister Irene Harda.Friends may call on Thursday 3-6 p.m. at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville.
