Dollie I. Poole McAfee, 87, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Trinity West. She was born in East Franklin, PA on March 12, 1926 a daughter of the late Henry P. and Ellen Isabell Claypool Hill. Dollie was member of Wintersville Community Chapel. She was a 4-H advisor and an avid bowler in earlier years. Preceding Dollie in death were her 1st husband Leonard F. “Red” Poole and 2nd husband Samuel McAfee. Surviving are her children Dollie Ellen (Richard) Spencer of South Dakota, Leonard “Skip” (Debbie) Poole, Jr. of Alaska, Floyd (Helen) Poole of Texas, Mary (Drue) Davis of Texas and Robin (Rodney) Wedlake of Bloomingdale, OH; sister Ruth Crockett of Virginia; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Come join family and friends for food and fellowship at the Wintersville Community Chapel on Bantam Ridge Road, Wintersville on Thursday 4 – 8 p.m. for a Joyous Celebration of Life where a memorial service will be held that evening at 6 p.m. Entombment at Highland Hills Memorial Garden. Arrangements entrusted to Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville. Memorials may be directed to Wintersville Community Chapel, 27 Ward Drive, Wintersville, OH 43953.

Robin, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what it is to watch a loved one go through a stroke. That's how we lost my Dad. Dollie was The Best! I'll always remember the fun times at the fair with her. I couldn't wait each year just to hang out with her. I'm saying prayers for you and your family everyday that God helps you and your family through this. Love to you.
