Though I never had the privilege of meeting Dick personally, I have been honored to know him through his life-long friend, Chuck Johnston. Chuck speaks proudly of a man who fully and tenderly loved His Lord, his wife, his daughters and their families, and all of his family and many friends. A proud fellow veteran who consistently did what was right and did it right... We will meet one day, Dick, and it will be my privilege to shake your hand and to hear the words our Lord lovingly spoke to you, "Well Done My Faithful Child!" God bless you and our prayers are with your loving family.

Dina, Deidre & family. I was so saddened to her about Dick. He was a truly wonderful man; the likes of which are far too few these days. This world is a little less warm of a place without him. If you need anything at all please do not hesitate to call. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Bryan

A Tribute To A Friend Some years ago, I met a man. It came to pass that the man and I became good friends. We had lots in common , we shared many common interests and likes. He was a hunter and a family man. He taught me many things through conversations , many hold still hold true to me today. He had a passion for life and hunting of all kinds. However , he loved to hunt whitetails and was the first true to life trophy hunter I ever met. His woodsmanship was unmatched by any I had ever met and to this day , I have only met very few who could hold a candle to him in that regard. His antler shed and arrowhead collection is unbelievable , he was the first person I ever heard of actually looking for sheds at the time. He had many trophy whitetails yet he remained very humble but that was just him. He had a passion for hunting Ruffed Grouse also , what he would frequently call Thunder ChickensHe knew more about them thunder chickens than the birds knew about themselves. He was so stealth in the woods , While others hunt birds with shotguns , he often simply took his .22 pistol. More than not , he would come home with his limit of birds. Busting birds and sneaking back up on them was his specialty. He was a woodsman and a hunter, but first and foremost he was a familyman, a Father , and a friend to all. His love for family and God took president over everything in his life. It showed in the way he lived and acted. I never saw him angry , even when he should have been. He was on of the good guys. Through the years our lives separated by space and time, yet often I would think of him and wonder how he was doing. Anytime I would get back home , I made it a point to call him and schedule a visit. Although I didnt expect it , he would always have a buffet of grouse and tenderloin waiting when Barb and I walked through the door. I can still smell the aroma we were met with upon entering his home.
