Denzil C. Wright, 84, of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Trinity West. He was born October 6, 1923 in Short Creek, WV, a son of the late Rubie E. & Anna M. Turner Wright. Denzil was a member and elder of Two Ridges Presbyterian Church; Boy Scout leader for Troop 87 and co-founded the Babe Ruth League of Wintersville. An avid hunter and fisherman, Denzil had also been a member and officer of the Spinning Gears Square Dance Club of Weirton. He retired from the Mason Dept. at Weirton Steel after 38 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He served in the Army Air Corps. Company B 595th Signal Aircraft Warning Battalion during WWII. Preceding Denzil in death were his brother Donald Wright and sister Opal McCulley. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Martha L. Shaw Wright; three children William (Janet) Wright of Ann Arbor, MI, Ronald E. (Mary Ann) Wright of Wintersville, and Janet Wright Osborne of Madison, OH; grandchildren David (Danielle) Osborne of Fremont, OH, Dustin Osborne of Madison, OH, Brian Wright of Akron, Mathew Wright of Wintersville and Lauren & Noah Wright of Ann Arbor. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Friday 3-5 & 7:30 - 9 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Wendy Norris officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben where the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military honors. Memorials may be directed to Two Ridges Church, 1085 Canton Rd. Wintersville OH 43953
