Obituary For Dennis Neil Darling

Dennis Neil Darling, 58, of Camp Verde, AZ formally of Bloomingdale, OH passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Scottsdale Health Care.  He was born in Long Beach, CA on July 13, 1956 a son of the late Virgil Darling and Nancy Litten Darling who survives.  Dennis was a retired master plumber out of the local #469 of Phoenix, AZ.  He was the owner of Hidden Springs Mechanical, where he rebuilt motorcycles.  He graduated from Wintersville High School in 1976 being in the first graduating class from Jefferson County Joint Vocational School and also graduated from Motorcycle Mechanical Institute in Phoenix, AZ.  He was an avid motorcycle rider, a great husband, son, father, brother, grandfather and a friend to all.  In addition to his father Dennis was preceded in death by his step-son Jason Germann; sister Diana Lynn Darling and nephew Justin Wade Darling. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Mary V. DeGroot Darling of Camp Verde, AZ; his mother Nancy Litten Darling of Bloomingdale, OH; brothers Wesley (Tina) Darling of Bloomingdale, OH and Cortland Darling of North Carolina; sister Cathleen Darling (David Kemp) of Bloomingdale, OH; children Dayna Ramsey, Joy (Brian) Duda and Matthew (Tammy) Germann; grandchildren Ian, Alec and Maggie Ramsey, Zach, Batson, Brendan and Julia Bruce and Katie Duda, all of Arizona; nieces Courtney Darling and Harley Kemp of Bloomingdale, OH; nephews Cody Darling and Brandon Gissel of Utah.  The family will receive friends at Unionport Christian Church on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 3p.m. until time of services at 6p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Kuttler officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

    Dennis and I were buddies from Wayne elementary through high school. What a great guy, with an awesome laugh and giggle. I remember his sister Diana as well. Sad. I feel for the entire family.

    I am so sorry for the loss of a great man that I have got to know through my parents. Dennis will be missed by so many. Mary and Dennis had a great life together. I know his Arizona family can not be there, but we send our love to Dennis and his family. RIP our dear friend. Love from all of us

    There are no words to express how much we love and will miss Uncle Dennis. Such a kind man is surely in Heaven now, looking down on friends and family.
