Obituary For Delores Monigold

Delores Monigold, 79, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 at Valley Hospice. She was born November 24, 1940 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Roy & Mary Edith Smally Burkey. She was a 1959 graduate of Wayne High School and retired from Bob Evans. Preceding Delores in death were her husband Gerald Monigold; siblings Virginia Burkey, Carol Ohle, Pete Burkey & Terry Burkey.

Delores is survived by her daughter Theresa (Joe) Hilditch of Wintersville; son Todd Monigold of Steubenville; two grandchildren Joel Hilditch & Shasta Monigold; and brother Jim (Joyce) Burkey.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.

Social distancing and masks will be enforced. Family asks that guests do not linger after paying their respects.

    Doe was a beautiful wonderful woman in all ways.  She was always there for me.  She and Carol were like mother's to me when I bowled and even after my bowling ways went to the wayside.  I will always have pleasant memories of her and the way she was so gentle and caring for me and my kids.  May you and yours find peace that she is with Carol and others bowling away.
