Obituary For Delores J. Houser

Delores J. Houser, 87, of Wintersville passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was the wife of William J. Houser. Delores was born on October 28, 1930 the daughter of the late Jesse E. and Elmira Pauline Crossley Sticker Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jesse E. Sticker Jr. and sisters Shirley Colabella and Laura Thompson. Delores is survived by her husband William “Bill” Houser Sr., whom she married on June 10, 1949 and their three children William “Bill” (Lisa) Houser Jr. of Wintersville, Terry (Michael) Costantini of Murrels Inlet, SC and Barbara (Philip) Hukill of Wintersville. She also leaves behind six grandchildren Michael (Carrie Rolo) Costantini, Brian Costantini, Melissa (fiancé Louis Almonte) Costantini, Kelly Costantini, Mitch and Megan Hukill; brother Robert (Cindy) Sticker of Cummings, GA and several nieces and nephews. Delores was a wonderfully loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a beautiful smile, kind heart and great sense of humor. She will be forever cherished and loved. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:30 until the time of funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial will be private at Fort Steuben.

    The Houser Family,I am very sorry to hear of Delore's passing. She was a wonderful person. She played a huge part in some of my best childhood memories of hanging around the Houser house or going to the lake. She also made the best chocolate chip cookies.
