Delmis R. “Del” Nottingham, 65, of Wintersville died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Trinity West ER. He was born in Duck, WV on December 27, 1942 a son of the late Denver and Tressie Jarvis Nottingham. Del was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and American Legion Post 557. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as a lab technician and was a U.S Army veteran. Preceded in death by his parents; step-father Archie Scott; brothers Russell and John Nottingham. Del is survived by his wife Frances Archer Nottingham; daughters Linda (Todd) Morckel of Minerva, OH, Teresa (Patrick) Retzer of St. Clairsville, OH and Diane Nottingham and her fiancé Kelley West of Canal Winchester, OH; brother Robert “Red” (Linda) Nottingham of Wintersville; sister Yvonne (Bud) Gotschall of Mt. Pleasant, OH; mother-in-law Mary Archer of Wintersville; step-sister Patty MacGregor of Warren, OH; grandchildren Justin and Emily Retzer and dog CoCo. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini as celebrant. Burial at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH. Dillonvale American Legion will conduct graveside services. Vigil service 3:45 on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
