Delia P. “Pat” Shoemaker, 91, of Bloomingdale, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Gables Care Center under Valley Hospice care. She was born in Steubenville on June 11,
1931 a daughter of the late William E. and Dorothy Mae Paul Hollis. Pat was Protestant by faith and graduated from Steubenville High School in 1950 and worked at JC Penny and the former
Hub Department Store. She continued to support her community by volunteering at Belvedere Fire Department working the voting polls and baking her famous pies for fundraisers. Pat married
her high school sweetheart Jay Shoemaker on May 15, 1954 and loved her family dearly. Among her favorite things to do was hosting large gatherings where shared memories were made. In
addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy (Vincent) Stroud and Helen (Ron) Luster; brother Moe (Skippy) Rogers; Dorothy (Ed) Rogers, whom raised her and son
in law George Eddy III. Pat is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband Jay; daughters Denise Eddy and Lisa (Kevin) Miller; grandchildren Jason (Melissa) Eddy, Sara Eddy, Lauren
(Dan) Canfield and Kelsey Miller (fiancé Mike Hughart); great grandchildren Nathan, Nicholas, Alaina, Evelyn and Olivia. The family will hold private services at a later date. Memorial
contributions may be made to: Jefferson County Joint Vocational School, George "Bob" Eddy III Scholarship Fund.

She was a wonderful lady. When she was babysitting her grandson some times in the summer I would go over to her house and give her a break by taking the boy for a walk or playing with him in the yard. The next day there would be a coconut cream pie delivered to my front porch.

Pat was such a sweet soul. I have many fond memories of her from the firehouse and our fun time there, laughing and just enjoying life. Those were such great times for us all. Condolences to you all. she will be missed by many.
