Obituary For Debra Kay (Ackerman) Hastwell

Debra Kay (Ackerman) Hastwell, 52, of Richmond, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Trinity West ER. She was born February 12, 1964 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Wilfred & Mary Jane Aurand Hastwell. Debra was a graduate of Steubenville Big Red. She loved being outdoors gardening. Preceding Debra in death were many aunts, uncles and most recently her fiancé Lonnie Dayton. Surviving are her sister Pamela “Penny” Szydlowski of Richmond, OH; four brothers John (Jodi) Mark of Steubenville, OH, Terry Mark of Wintersville, OH, Ron (Dee Ann Ciotti) Hastwell of Steubenville, OH and Robert (Daphne) Hastwell of Columbus, OH; stepdaughter Ashley (Heath) Ackerman; two granddaughters Myleigh and Joleigh; four nephews Mark (Marcie) Szydlowski of Weirton, WV, Frank “Brewser” (Tarra) Szydlowski of Richmond, OH, John Mark, Jr. of Richmond, OH and Anthony Mark of North Carolina; three nieces Jodi Lynn (Dave) Algieri of New Jersey, Amanda Walters of Steubenville, OH and Nicole (Seth) Mark Monteleone of North Carolina; four great nieces Marla, Gina, Manijiah and Lilly and eight great nephews Angelo, Chase, Dakota, Jae’Shon, John’Tai, Liam, Ryker and Jaiden. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday from 5 - 7 p.m.

    I felt so bad having to tell you Debbie passed but I knew would have wanted to know. I thought if I friended you, you may not have remembered me and not accepted. I'm so lost without deb....everyday we'd either talk or text. I've been with her brother John for 27yrs. But I knew deb for 40+. Was a very hard week. Thank you for the condolence posting.

    Ain't Debby I'm very sorry to see you go. I will always think of you, and have kept you in my prayers. I know in my heart that you are in heaven, and back with uncle Lonnie.
