David Wayne Morgan, 63, of Steubenville, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Bolger’s Country Club Manor. He was born January 28, 1961 to the late William F. & Elizabeth A. Hickey Morgan. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary and brothers Terry and James (Tim) Morgan.
He is survived by siblings Sidney (Janice) Morgan of Bloomsburg, PA, Charles (Kim) Morgan of Wintersville, OH, Kathy (Glen) Zalenski of Bloomingdale, OH, and Cyndi Reaves of Knightdale, NC, along with 15 nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
David was a 1979 graduate of Steubenville High School and enlisted proudly in the US Navy where he served for many years. During his years in the Navy, he participated in the Gulf War. Upon retirement from the Navy, David was a mentor for at risk children in Florida before returning to Steubenville.
Continuing David’s great joy for working with children he participated as a volunteer in the START Program for the Indian Creek School District. He mentored many children in several elementary schools in the district. He was very proud of making a difference in children’s lives.
David was a loving and generous son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a great love for his family and was extremely proud of his nieces and nephews. He was always known to have a huge heart and generously gave of himself and his time. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Per David’s request, there will be no service. He will be honored in a private family gathering at a later date.
David’s family would like to thank the staff at Bolger’s Country Club Manor and especially Valley Hospice for the care that they provided him in the final days. If so desired, a memorial contribution can be made in David’s name to Valley Hospice.

I just heard about the passing of David. I had the privilege of graduating in 1979 with David. Known him since we attended the old Harding Jr High. I've taken David to the VAMC (Veterans Administration Medical Center) in Pittsburgh several times. It was good to speak with him! David was a good man and my prayers are with the entire Morgan Families.
