David Wayne Hackathorne, 90, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Trinity Medical Center West. Wayne was born on June 22, 1933 in Toronto, Ohio the son of the late Verne G. & Helen E. Mellington Hackathorne. He retired as an Industrial Electronics Technician from Timet. Wayne was a member and deacon at Starkdale Presbyterian Church, always taking care of what needed fixed around the church building. He was gifted woodworker.

Wayne is preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy J. Hackathorne; infant son David Brian Hackathorne and sister Phyllis Jean Hutton.

A perfect and devoted, loving husband, Wayne is survived by his wife Betty Vujnovic Hackathorne; two sons David W. (Cynthia) Hackathorne II & Daniel J. Hackathorne and four grandsons Lucas, Jacob, Wyatt and Cross.

Friends may call at Starkdale Presbyterian Church, 4600 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, Ohio on Monday April 1 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at noon with Rev. Dr. G. Carl Moore officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
