And, the maroon 289 High Performance Falcon and how when Dave hit 4th gear the pumpkin would hit the bottom of the back seat and Dave would look out the corner of his eye and grin from ear to ear.   I was so sorry to read David's obituary in the Herald Star. David and I went to school together from first grade until we graduated in 1966. My husband and sons moved back here in 1987 and I never ran into David. We were in Mrs. Baker's room in second grade and she would send us to do errands for her at the old McCoy's store where the carpet place is now. We walked there and had many conversations on the way.
