David H. Frantz, 89, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. He was born July 6, 1925 in Steubenville, a son of the late William & Winifred Lewis Frantz. David was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. David was instrumental for the success of Prime Time, and founding member and past president of Mended Hearts, as well as founder of Heartland. He retired as an electrician in the 54 Inch Strip Mill at Weirton Steel Co. and served in the US Navy during WWII. Preceding David in death was his wife Mary F. Collins Frantz. Surviving are his daughter Debra K. (Michael) Corazzelli of Foster City, CA; stepson George Michael (Janet) Allen of Galveston, TX; and close friend and caregiver Debbie Juresko. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Sunday 1-4 p.m. On Monday, friends may call at Zion United Church of Christ, 139 N. Fifth Street, Steubenville from 9:30 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. with Rev. Tom Bullard officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
