Darlene L. Pehanich, 78, of Steubenville passed on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at her home of natural causes. She was born in Bavington, PA on May 29, 1941 a daughter of the late Ross E. and Genevia B. Carroll Miller, Sr. She was a member of Wintersville United Methodist Church and Survivors and Seekers of Yellow Creek. She worked at the former Golden-Brown Doughnut and Canellas Market in Wintersville. In addition to her parents Darlene was preceded in death by her husband George E. Pehanich; son George Pehanich; brothers Ross and Ron Miller; sisters Genevia Miller and infant sister Grace Emma Miller. She is survived by sons; Rick A. (Mona) Pehanich of Steubenville and Robert D. “Bob” Pehanich of Bloomingdale; daughter Katherine (Ted) Smith of Leetonia, OH; sister Ruth Schoonover of Marietta, OH; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 11a.m. until time of services at 1p.m. with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
