Darla J. Bednar, 77, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Carriage Inn. She was born in Steubenville on February 4, 1948 a daughter of the late Raymond & Evelyn McCloskey Lawrence. She was a member of Wintersville Methodist Church and manager of The Great American Cookie Co. until her retirement.
Darla was preceded in death by her sister Adele Blackburn and brother Richard Lawrence.
She is survived by her husband Edward A. Bednar whom she married on July 14, 1972; sons Edward A. (Raquel) Bednar III & Charles M. Bednar; three grandchildren Logan, Alex & Vicky; sisters Donna Baker, Kathy Lawrence, Sherry (Richard) Sherrin, Patty Vensel, Karen (Dave) Nicholson, Carole (Jim) Blaschak & Sharon Lawrence; brother-in-law David Blackburn & sister-in-law Patty Lawrence.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Center of Hope, c/o Wintersville Methodist Church.
