Obituary For Darinka "Dolly" Visnic

Darinka “Dolly” Visnic passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Carriage Inn of Steubenville.  Dolly was born September 21, 1914, a daughter of the late Rade and Milka Tepovich Malbasa.  She was the oldest of five children.  Dolly was a homemaker who dedicated her life to family and friends.  She was a life member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Sveta Petka Kolo and AARP.  Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Peter Visnic; an infant daughter; three brothers Milan “Sue”, Eli “Flip” and Ben Malbasa; her beloved sister Helen Pavich and son-in-law James Morelli.  Surviving are her daughter Helen Morelli of Richmond, OH; granddaughters Lani Yaksich of Centreville, VA and Sonya Yaksich (companion Scott) of Wintersville, OH; great grandson Brian Smith of Cincinnati, OH; sisters-in-law Natalie Palovina and Lillian Visnic of Steubenville, OH; nieces Millicent Santilli of Steubenville, OH and Mary Lynn (Jerry) Ricci of Steubenville, OH; nephews Joseph (Anita) Malbasa of Darien, GA, Robert and Stephen (Stephanie) Malbasa of Brentenahl, OH, Michael (Susan) Malbasa of Sonoma, CA; Pete (Mary Lou) Visnic of East Liverpool, OH, Dewey (Diane) Visnic of Kingman, AZ, Pete (Donna) Pavkovich of Louisville, KY, Dan (Pam) Pavkovich of Cadiz, OH and Pete Palovina of Steubenville, OH.  Also surviving are many great nieces and great nephews as well as several great great nieces and great great nephews.  Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating.  Burial at Union Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Steubenville Serbian Cemetery.

The fact she was able to lead a long and full life should provide you peace of mind....and knowing that she thrived because of your care should provide additional solace.     DEAR HELEN , SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR MOTHER PASSING . MY MOTHER WAS ALSO BORN IN 1914 BUT DIED 11 YEARS AGO. i MAY EVEN REMEMBER YOUR MOTHER FROM OUR CHURCH AT THE TIME OF FR. ZELICH , SHE WAS QUITE ACTIVE IN CHURCH. YOUR SCHOOL MATE ----MILAN
