Kerri and Family, Dan was the closest friend I have ever had. He led me to Christ while we were in the Navy, he prayed with me, we read the bible and went to church together, we camped and hunted together. I am grief stricken by this news Kerri. I pray that you may find peace and comfort at this time. Even though we have not seen each other for years, you both have been in my heart and thoughts. Love you both, Rodney.Dan.....I know now that you have seen His face....Love you dan

20 years ago I worked with Dan at Piedmont Airlines in Salisbury MD. I believe God placed me there specifically to be influenced and mentored by Dan. His unashamed faith in Jesus Christ changed my life and soon after my wife's life also. God used Dan to teach me scripture in a small group bible study. Dan also taught by example living his faith at work despite the frequent backlash. I fell out of touch with Dan after I moved away from MD, but his influence is with me to this day. Because of him I have a closer relationship with God, I am a better husband, father, etc. I will always remember the good times fishing with Dan and his appreciation for God's creation. I am very sorry for the loss to his loved ones. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven.
