Obituary For Dallas L. Perkins

Dallas L. (Tex) Perkins, 91 of Steubenville, OH died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Trinity West.  He was born in Belmont, OH on February 3, 1918.  Dallas was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, he fought in WWII with the U.S. Army/Air Corps. He was a distinguished carpenter who helped build Steubenville High School, and he was a member of Bend Fork Christian Church.  Preceded in death  by his wife of 66 years Marie Ward Perkins; mother Eunice Houser Perkins; father, 2 brothers and a sister.  Dallas is survived by his children; sons John (Joyce) Perkins of Weirton, WV and Rick (Betty) Perkins of Steubenville and daughter Judi (Jim) Davis of Steubenville; grandchildren Mike (Melissa) Perkins of New Cumberland, WV, Donna (Paul) Peters of Toronto, John (Sherri) Perkins of East Palestine, OH, Melissa Perkins of Pittsburgh, PA, Matt (Heather) Davis of Steubenville, Nicolette (Jon) Draher of Columbus, OH, Chad Davis of Mingo Junction, Natalie (Chris) Liptak of Pittsburgh, PA and step granddaughter Diane Walker of Richmond, OH; 7 great granddaughters, 2 step great granddaughters and 1 great great granddaughter.  Private services at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter and the Steubenville High School Scholarship Fund.Offer condolences at www.shorac.com
