I have so many fond memories of growing up together - all the many hours of sled and Big Wheel riding down the hill beside your house in Valley View. I am glad to have known your father and your family and my prayers go out to you for comfort.

I worked at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a foreman at the BOF. Dale was my crane operator and also a good friend. Dale taught me how to be a good foreman, because I was young and wanted to prove myself. I was going about it all wrong. Dale, along with his brother Jerry helped me to become a good foreman and the lessons learned there has helped me through the good and bad times in my life. My prayers and thoughts go out to all Dale's family. Of all the persons I associated with at the "mill", Dale was most remembered and respected in my memory.
