Daisy Surena Horner Hightland 86 of Wintersville, OH died Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at Lancia Villa Royale. She was born in Coburn, WV on August 13, 1915 a daughter of the late George Riley and Bertha Ellen Six Horner. She was a member of Wintersville Baptist Temple and preceeded in death by her husband Raymond Hightland on April 7, 1960; two sons Eugene and Dale Hightland; nine brothers John, Eddie, Winnie, Arley, Leslie, William, Isaac, James and Reason Horner; four sisters Myrtle and Charlotte Horner, Virginia Yoho and Mary Utt; one stepson David Weaver and 8 grandchildren Charles Clinton Woodland, Hubert “Boo” Woodland Jr., Edward Osz, Junior Osz, Dwain Taylor, Dewey Taylor, Ronald Tatgenhorst and Richard Althar. Daisy is survived by four daughters Elda Louise Osz and Carol (Hubert Sr.) Woodland of Wintersville, Lyda Mae Singleton and Wanetti Taylor of Texas; two stepsons Danny Weaver and John Hightland of Maryland; 3 stepdaughters Donna Kiaski and Debbie Monigold of Wintersville and Monica Althar of Bellaire, OH; 13 grandchildren Steve (Debra) Osz, Joseph (Bridgette) Osz, Frank (Rosie) King, Georgia Woodland, Raymond Woodland, Carol Lewis, Florence Templeton, Richard Eddy, Beverly Ann Page, John Hightland, Deby Jean Hightland, Barbara Taylor and Regina Taylor; 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 only. Friends may call at Wintersville Baptist Temple on Monday evening from 7 p.m. until time of services at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. John Beard officiating. Burial at Cross Creek Cemetery, Wintersville, OH.
