Obituary For Cynthia S. Pritchard

Cynthia S. Pritchard, 69, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Valley Hospice Care Center North.  She was born March 18, 1945 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Michael and Sue Pesta Dodasovich.  Cynthia was a devoted member of Colonial Baptist Church.  She served the church in many ways, serving as choir director and financial secretary.  Her devotion, dedication and service to the church was a focal point of her life and she will be greatly missed by her church family. Cynthia was a 1963 graduate of Mingo Junction High School.  She was a secretary for Louis Berkman Company and also worked at Dr. Schrickel’s office.  Preceding Cynthia in death were her grandson Michael S. Gilliland; two brothers Jack Dodds and Ted Dodasovich and an infant sister.  Surviving are her husband, whom she would have been married to 48 years on June 18, 1966, John E. Pritchard; son Perry (Julie) Pritchard of Bloomingdale, OH; daughter Jennifer (James) Gilliland of Grove City, OH; three grandchildren J.D. Pritchard, Lauren Pritchard and Samuel Gilliland; brother George Robert Dodasovich of Pittsburgh, PA and sister Cheryl (Bruce) Borino of Dunlap, IL.  Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Sunday 1 – 3 & 7 – 9 p.m. and at Colonial Baptist Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randy Sells officiating.  Burial at Fort Steuben.  Memorial donations may be directed to Colonial Baptist Church, 201 Gumps Lane, Wintersville, OH 43953.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Figel and all the ladies with the Valley Hospice Staff for the excellent care Cynthia received.

    John, Perry, Jennifer and family, We were saddened to hear of Cynthia's passing, she holds a special place in our hearts and the hearts of our children. But we rejoice in the fact that she is now in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her love for the Lord and for her family and friends was always so evident.     I was so sorry to hear of Cynthia's passing as she was a lovely woman. My Grandfather was one of her patients and my Grandmother was so thankful for her. A godly woman with a beautiful heart. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
