Cosmo C. DiNovo 87 of Steubenville, Ohio died Monday, January 20, 2003 at Lancia Villa Royale, Steubenville. He was born in Steubenville on September 2, 1915 a son of the late Ignatius and Angelina Scialoba DiNovo. Cosmo retired in 1977 as a driver and salesman from Fort Pitt Distributing. He served in US Army during WWII in the Fifth Armored Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Petrella DiNovo whom he married August 14, 1939 and she died November 29, 2000; one son Anthony DiNovo; and four brothers Vincent, John, Tony and Salvey DiNovo. Cosmo is survived by two daughters Angela Soltis of Mingo Junction, Ohio and Rosalie (late Anthony) Falbo of Steubenville; one brother Joe DiNovo of San Jose, CA; one sister Mamie Thompson of Steubenville; sister-in-law Sara DiNovo of Florida; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday 4-7 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass will celebrated 9:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Jack McCoy and Rev. Edmondo Stabene officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. Vigil services 6:45 p.m. Thursday.
