Conrad A. Carson, 81, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Life Line Hospital. He was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on March 14, 1932 a son of the late Finley W. and Ruth Dorothy Smith Carson. Conrad was a member of Starkdale Presbyterian Church and the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. He worked as an electrician for 41 ½ years at Weirton Steel and also for Art Latimer in Follansbee, WV. Preceding Conrad in death were his 1st wife Wanda D. Fox Carson; brother Howard Carson; son-in-law William Critser and father and mother-in-law Fred and Lena Fox. Surviving are his 2nd wife Ruth Allan Carson; three daughters Bonnie (Herb) Cook of Weirton, WV, Stephanie Critser of Wintersville, OH and Connie Valle of Bloomingdale, OH; son and caregiver Craig A. Carson of Bloomingdale, OH; stepdaughter Karen (John) Manferdonia of Westminster, CA; step son Allan (Ginny) Kirlangitis of Uniontown, PA; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; six great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Starkdale Presbyterian Church on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville. Memorial contributions may be directed to Starkdale Presbyterian Church, 4600 Sunset Boulevard, Steubenville, OH 43953.
